One of ICPHS's primary goals is to provide education to the ringing to community, and to the community at large. We feel this is important in order to build our pool of ringers - the ringers of the future, as it were - and especially in order to build our audience. Some of the ways we hope to achieve this goal is by providing a "clearing house" of clinicians, by doing community outreach to teach people to play and to listen to bells, and by organizing concert series across the country. We strongly urge you to become a founding member so that you can help us build, and eventually participate in these programs.
Programs
Some of our anticipated educational programs are:
-
Providing qualified teachers for school groups
-
Providing training to new teachers in schools
-
Providing master classes for established groups
-
Providing "startup think tanks" for new groups just starting to form
-
Organizing community outreach so new people can listen to bells
-
Organizing community outreach so new people can learn to play bells
We strongly urge you to become a founding member so that you can help us build, and eventually participate in these programs.
Clinicians
One ICPHS program that we can get up and running right away is our Clinician Data Base. We want to make it easy for you to find experts who can help you meet all your goals. In the area of ringing, we are our own resource! If you are a qualified clinician, we strongly encourage you sign up for the Data Base, including your specialties, so that someone looking for your special knowledge can find you. We also strongly encourage you to browse through our data base as it grows, and to bring experts into your rehearsal rooms so that your group can reach its highest possible potential. |
